Henshaws Sight Loss and Disability

Henshaws Sight Loss and Disability Charity has been supporting individuals of all ages over the last 185 years to help them achieve their ambitions and go beyond expectations.

Our aim is to help reduce social isolation and increase independence through empowering people with a sight impairment and often an additional disability. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide support, advice, counselling, and training, enabling individuals and their families to build skills, develop confidence and look forward to a more positive future together.

Manchester & District Home for Lost Dogs

Manchester & District Home for Lost Dogs was founded in 1893 and is one of the oldest dogs homes in the country.

We take in and care for over 2,000 dogs every year, many of these dogs are never reclaimed by their owners and require a great degree of emotional and physical support during their stay with us. We never put a healthy dog to sleep, we have a dedicated team who work with the dogs to help them get over previous problems and trauma and get them ready for their new family and forever home.

Dogs Trust

Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust (formerly the National Canine Defence League) is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Their mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction, we are supporting them in their challenge.

Children Today is a charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment and services for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK.

The Breathe Easy Group is a support group who provide support and information for people living with a lung condition, and for those who look after them.

Reuben’s Retreat

Reuben’s Retreat is a charity that was born in memory of Reuben Graham who tragically passed away after 23 months. The charity was set up to provide a retreat in the North West of England countryside, that will relieve the distress of families and their close friends who have suffered the bereavement of a child or have a child suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness.

Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme

We are very proud to have become a guardian of the Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme, as we believe like the BYPHS that no young person should experience homelessness.

The BYPHS aim to be an outstanding provider of high quality, holistic housing and support services, empowering young people to live independently in their community, preventing repeat homelessness and sustain tenancies, responding to their emerging needs, allowing them to improve their social and economic welfare.
